Our surgeons in Istanbul – licensed plastic surgeons and specialist clinics

Experienced, licensed surgeons at our independent partner clinics in Istanbul — chosen for patient safety, aesthetic skill and a warm approach.

How we work with surgeons and clinics in Turkey

Choosing your surgeon is the most important decision of the entire journey. Lumora is not a healthcare provider — we connect you with licensed plastic surgeons and specialist clinics in Istanbul, and we do it through a selection process we are transparent about. On this page you will find the surgeons we work with, the requirements we place on clinics, how certifications and accreditations work in Turkey, and what you should ask before booking.

Every surgeon we refer to holds specialist training in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, maxillofacial surgery or hair transplantation, depending on the field. They work at hospitals and clinics approved by the Turkish Ministry of Health and experienced with international patients — with interpreters, VIP transfer and structured follow-up.

The medical assessment is always made by the surgeon and the clinic. We never give medical advice, never promise a specific result and can never guarantee that a treatment is suitable for you. That is determined at the on-site consultation, after examination and review of your medical history.

How we choose our partner surgeons

  • Licensed specialist training in their surgical field and documented experience.
  • Work at accredited clinics with modern operating rooms and patient safety routines.
  • Thousands of completed procedures in breast, body, facial, hair and dental surgery.
  • Ability to listen, set realistic expectations and provide a personal approach.

Assoc. Prof. Ömer Faruk Koçak was born in 1983 and graduated from medical school in 2007. After experience in cardiovascular surgery in Ankara and gynecology and obstetrics in Samsun, he turned to plastic surgery — the field he really wanted — in 2009, where his career began.

After 1.5 years with Medipol Health Group and Medical Park Hospitals in Istanbul, he has been running his own clinic in Şişli since February 2022.

He has 45 articles published in international and national peer-reviewed journals and many oral presentations at scientific meetings. Certifications & permits

Clinic certifications and patient safety

Our partner clinics in Istanbul are fully equipped for international patients and offer VIP transfer, interpreter and follow-up. We regularly visit and evaluate our partners to ensure standards are maintained.

Turkish Ministry of Health approval

Every clinic we work with is registered and approved by the Republic of Turkey's Ministry of Health (T.C. Sağlık Bakanlığı) for the procedures they perform. The approval covers facilities, equipment, hygiene routines and staff qualifications.

Licensed specialists (TTB / uzman doktor)

The surgeons are registered physicians with a specialist title in their field and members of the Turkish Medical Association. We request and verify specialist credentials before starting a collaboration.

Hospital standard for surgery and anaesthesia

All procedures under general anaesthesia are performed at full-scale hospitals or surgical centres with a licensed anaesthesiologist, monitoring equipment and intensive care capability — never in a clinic without such readiness.

International accreditation (JCI/ISO) where present

Some of our partner hospitals hold international accreditation such as JCI or ISO 9001. We always state the actual status of your specific clinic — we never claim an accreditation a clinic does not hold.

Traceable implants and materials

Breast implants, dental materials and other products are CE-marked and supplied with serial numbers and warranty documents that you take home with you.

Documented follow-up

You receive the surgical report, material passport and aftercare instructions. Follow-up is handled digitally with the clinic, with Lumora as your Swedish-speaking point of contact.

Results

Before and after photos from our partner clinics

We only show photos where the patient has explicitly consented, and we do not retouch them. Photos are shown as part of your personal review together with the clinic, since results are always individual and depend on anatomy, healing and starting point.

If you want examples for your specific procedure — breast, body, face, hair or dental — get in touch and we will share a selection from the surgeon proposed for you.

Patient voices

What patients say about meeting the surgeon

Quotes are published with consent and reflect individual experiences. Results and experiences vary.

I had read horror stories about Turkey and was very unsure. Getting everything in Swedish, seeing the surgeon's credentials in advance and having someone answer the phone around the clock is what made me dare.
Sara, 34Breast augmentation, Istanbul
The on-site consultation was far more thorough than I expected. The surgeon said no to part of what I wanted and explained why — that gave me confidence.
Emelie, 41Abdominoplasty, Istanbul
Good that they are clear about not being a healthcare provider. Everything medical went through the clinic, but Lumora handled interpreter, transfer and hotel so I did not have to think about logistics.
Johan, 47Hair transplant, Istanbul

Treatments

Which surgeon matches your treatment?

Each surgeon has extensive experience in their respective areas — breast and body contouring, facial procedures, hair transplantation and dental care. Before we refer a patient, we carry out a careful matching based on wishes, medical history and stated expectations.
